DDA’s Apna Ghar Aawas Yojana: All 152 Flats Sold Out in Just One Hour, Extension Announced
Delhi’s real estate market is buzzing with excitement as the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) witnessed record-breaking demand for its Apna Ghar Aawas Yojana 2025. On September 5, all 152 ready-to-move-in flats offered under the scheme were booked within just one hour of opening, generating an estimated ₹100 crore in revenue.

Flats Sold Across Multiple Categories and Locations
The scheme featured a mix of housing options catering to different income groups:
- 76 Middle-Income Group (MIG) flats at Lok Nayak Puram, Block D
- 76 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats at Narela, Sector A1-A4, Block G
- Additional LIG and HIG flats at Narela, Lok Nayak Puram, and Siraspur
Interestingly, many of these flats had been offered in previous DDA housing schemes since 2023 but did not receive such a strong response. Officials credit the rapid sell-out this time to aggressive sales strategies and marketing campaigns led under the supervision of Lt Governor VK Saxena.
Extension of the Scheme for Public Benefit
Given the overwhelming response and sustained public demand for affordable housing, the DDA has extended the Apna Ghar Aawas Yojana 2025 by three months, now running until November 26, 2025.
The extension ensures more buyers can benefit from:
- Ready-to-move-in flats across Delhi
- Housing options spanning LIG, MIG, and HIG categories
- Prime locations including Narela, Lok Nayak Puram, and Siraspur
According to DDA, the move will provide greater access to quality, affordable housing for Delhi residents.
DDA’s Premium Housing Scheme Also in Play
Alongside affordable housing, DDA is simultaneously addressing luxury demand. On August 26, 2025, it launched its Premium Housing Scheme, offering high-end apartments at sought-after locations such as Vasant Kunj, Alaknanda, Dwarka, Jasola, and Rohini.
For this scheme:
- Online registration for e-auction and submission of Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is open until September 24, 2025.
- The initiative aims to cater to diverse homebuyer needs, from affordable flats to premium residences.
Conclusion
With affordable homes selling out in record time and luxury flats also on offer, DDA’s twin strategies are reshaping Delhi’s housing market. The extension of Apna Ghar Aawas Yojana gives buyers another chance to secure their dream home while reaffirming DDA’s commitment to making quality housing accessible for all.
