MHADA officials hint that approximately 5,200 homes will be up for grabs, continuing the authority’s mission to provide affordable housing to Mumbaikars. The complete schedule, list of locations, and price brackets will be revealed in the coming months.

For context, in 2024, over 2,000 homes were offered through the MHADA lottery, with prices ranging from ₹29 lakh to ₹6.82 crore. Premium flats located in areas like Andheri, Juhu, Goregaon, Powai, and even South Mumbai’s Tardeo were part of the draw. Notably, the most expensive unit—a sprawling 1,500 sq. ft. apartment overlooking the Mahalaxmi Racecourse—was priced at ₹6.82 crore.

In its 2024-25 budget, MHADA allocated a whopping ₹9,202 crore towards constructing nearly 19,500 affordable housing units across Maharashtra. Out of these, the Konkan Board, which covers the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), is targeting the completion of 9,902 flats. This upcoming lottery is expected to significantly contribute towards this target.
