Elon Musk’s Tesla is accelerating its India expansion plans with a strategic move into Gurugram, Haryana. The electric vehicle giant has leased approximately 51,000 sq ft of premium commercial space on Sohna Road, marking its third major facility in the country. This location will function as a showroom, service centre, and warehouse, establishing a strong northern presence for the brand.
According to property intelligence platform CRE Matrix, Tesla India Motor & Energy Pvt Ltd has finalized a nine-year lease agreement at Orchid Business Park, beginning July 15, 2025, with the agreement formally registered on July 28, 2025. The space—leased from Garwal Property Pvt Ltd—comes at a starting monthly rent of ₹40.17 lakh, which is set to increase by 4.75% annually.

- Year 6: ₹50.66 lakh
- Year 7: ₹53.06 lakh

Monthly rent must be paid before the 7th of each month.
The ownership of the leased land is shared among three entities:
- Garwal Property Pvt Ltd: 75.94%
- Suncity Real Estate LLP: 21%
- Orchid Infrastructure Developers Pvt Ltd: 3.06%

Tesla’s Rapid Growth in India
This move follows Tesla’s recent debut in Mumbai, where it leased 24,565 sq ft of warehouse space at Lodha Logistics Park in Kurla for five years, paying ₹24.38 crore in total rent.
In addition, reports suggest that Tesla is all set to launch a new showroom in Delhi’s Worldmark Mall, Aerocity, on August 11, reinforcing the brand’s aggressive rollout strategy in key metro cities.
Despite the buzz, Tesla and Garwal Property Pvt Ltd have not issued any official statements regarding the new lease.
