The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited bids for the sale of three charming bungalows in Lonavala, a popular hill station near Mumbai, with a reserve price of ₹6.55 crore.

  • Location: Near picturesque Lonavala Lake
  • Plot Size: Over 3,800 sq. m (freehold land)
  • Structures: Ground + one floor bungalows, earlier used as RBI holiday homes
  • Sale Mode: “As is, where is” basis
  • Reserve Price: ₹6.55 crore
  • Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): ₹10 lakh

As per the tender notice (issued August 18, 2025):

  • Last date for property inspection: September 8, 2025
  • Last date to submit bids: September 9, 2025
  • Buyers will need to clear all pending taxes with local authorities.

The sale process is being managed by Cushman and Wakefield India, a reputed property consultant, through sealed offer bidding. According to sources, the RBI is liquidating assets as part of its broader strategy.
