Bollywood celebrity property investments 2025

2025 turned out to be a landmark year for celebrity real estate in Mumbai, with Bollywood’s biggest names making headline-worthy property moves. From record-breaking land deals to strategic luxury upgrades and profitable exits, the year showcased how India’s film fraternity continues to treat real estate as both legacy and investment. Towering above them all was veteran actor Jeetendra Kapoor’s massive ₹855-crore land transaction, by far the biggest celebrity real estate deal of the year.

Jeetendra Kapoor & Family Seal 2025’s Largest Celebrity Land Deal

Jeetendra Kapoor and his family scripted history in May 2025 by selling a prime land parcel in Andheri for a staggering ₹855 crore. The buyer, NTT Global Data Centres, acquired the property through two Kapoor family-owned entities, Pantheon Buildcon Private Limited and Tusshar Infra Developers Private Limited.

Registered on May 29, 2025, the transaction involved two contiguous land parcels spanning roughly 9,664.68 sq m (2.39 acres). The site currently houses Balaji IT Park, comprising three buildings with a combined built-up area of nearly 4.9 lakh sq ft. By sheer value, this deal emerged as the largest real estate transaction by a Bollywood family in 2025.

Adding to the family’s real estate activity, Jeetendra Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor also sold a luxury apartment in Worli’s Omkar 1973 project in June 2025 for ₹12.25 crore. The 2,149 sq ft home fetched around ₹57,003 per sq ft (carpet area) and included two dedicated parking spaces.

Amitabh Bachchan’s ₹140-Crore Year of Strategic Buys and Profitable Exits

Amitabh Bachchan remained one of the most active celebrity investors in 2025, with property transactions totaling close to ₹140 crore across Mumbai, Ayodhya, and Alibaug.

Bachchan also deepened his presence in Ayodhya by purchasing a 25,000 sq ft plot adjacent to The Sarayu, a premium development by the House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). Valued at approximately ₹40 crore, this followed his 2024 acquisition of a 10,000 sq ft plot in the same enclave for ₹14.5 crore.

In October 2025, he acquired three adjoining land parcels in Alibaug worth ₹6.59 crore under HoABL’s ‘A Alibaug’ Phase-2 project. Later in November, Bachchan sold two adjoining luxury apartments in Goregaon for ₹12 crore, properties he had originally bought in 2012, earning an estimated 47% return over 13 years.
