This marks a significant shift from the earlier 30-year lease model.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cMSRTC owns over 13,000 acres of land at prime locations in Mumbai, including Kurla and Borivali, as well as other towns across the state. To ensure long-term and sustainable development, we are offering these depots on 98-year leases,\u201d Sarnaik said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The minister added that these depots will be <\/span><b>redeveloped into modern Bus Ports<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, similar to the model implemented successfully in Gujarat. He urged <\/span><b>real estate developers to actively participate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the upcoming tenders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Back in February 2025, during <\/span><b>NAREDCO NextGen in Mumbai<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Sarnaik had already hinted at this plan, stating that around 150\u2013160 tenders would be floated to redevelop over 3,000 acres of MSRTC depot land.
