But the space you actually live in is the carpet area where your furniture goes, where you walk and move.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, when you\u2019re told it\u2019s a 1,000 sq ft flat, you may be getting just 650\u2013700 sq ft of usable space.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"It_tells_you_nothing_about_quality\"><\/span>It tells you nothing about quality:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Two projects can quote the same per sq. ft. rate. But, one might have low-grade fittings, cramped layouts, and poor natural light while the other offers better design, materials, and long-term durability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So if you&#8217;re only comparing price per sq ft, you\u2019re missing 90% of what makes a good home actually good.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_lower_rate_can_cost_you_more\"><\/span>A lower rate can cost you more:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Cheaper rates can come with:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Poor layouts (wasted space)<\/li>\n<li>Low-grade construction<\/li>\n<li>Delays and hidden costs<\/li>\n<li>High maintenance later<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Per sq. ft. won\u2019t tell you if the walls leak in monsoon or if the flooring starts cracking in 2 years.
